By law, the tread on your vehicle’s tyres cannot be less than 1.6mm. If your tyres are illegal, you could be liable for a fine of up to £2,500 plus 3 penalty points per tyre.
Worn tyres can result in longer stopping distances and reduced grip on the road, which is why we recommend tyre replacement at 3mm. If yours haven’t been checked for a while, bring your Mercedes-Benz to our Official Workshop and we’ll see if everything is as it should be.
