L&L Automotive: How we can help during the Covid-19 Pandemic

Update 01

We would like to update you on what L&L Inc t/a Mercedes-Benz Hertfordshire is doing in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19). The priority at this time is the health and safety of our customers and our employees.

We will be using three main sources of information for our decision making – the Center for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and local government recommendations. We will conduct regular meetings to review the latest information and directions issued by the above organisations and to help direct the Company’s response and actions.

The group will continue to operate normally offering the same level products and services while taking into account necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our customers and employees.

Mercedes-Benz Hertfordshire will continue to follow the guidance of the CDC, WHO and local government and will provide you with updates as this situation progresses.

Safety Guidelines:
We are taking a number of additional steps to ensure safety:

  • Employees have been asked to remain home if they are feeling ill, and get healthy prior to returning to work. They should disclose and self-quarantine if they have: Been in direct contact with someone confirmed to have contracted the COVID-19 virus, or; travelled to a high-risk area as determined by the CDC/WHO in the last 14 days.
  • Soap and hand sanitisers are available in each Retail site for daily use. All our offices will be cleaned even more frequently and thoroughly with deep cleans available if necessary.

Mercedes-Benz Hertfordshire will continue to follow the guidance of the CDC, WHO and local government and will provide you with updates as this situation progress.

L&L Automotive t/a Mercedes-Benz Hertfordshire prides itself on providing safe and reliable motoring to all customers. As per our previous communication, it is our commitment to follow the guidance given by the Government as we face the challenge of responding to Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are still open for business but please be aware your health and safety are our top priority.

Servicing your car or perhaps changing your car may not be your priority right now. However, we want you to know that we are continually monitoring the COVID-19 situation and have put precautions in place to protect your vehicle and most importantly, to protect our loyal customers and employees.

Looking after You (and Your Vehicle)

To ensure that our standards meet the latest guidance on hygiene and cleaning we are now disinfecting all vehicles before and after our teams have worked on them, and before delivery back to our customers. In addition to this, our employees have been provided with all available methods to ensure that your vehicle stays protected during its time with us – including the use of sanitiser spray, gloves and protective covers.

Customer help

As a company, we recognise that some customers would prefer a “safe distance” relationship with us at this time, but also want to ensure their vehicle remains maintained and roadworthy.

To provide relevant support and maintain a safe and quality service, we have made the following changes to help support our customers.

For sales customers we can offer:

  • Vehicle purchasing from the comfort of your own home
  • Telephone, video and email communications
  • Test drive vehicles brought to your home address
  • An offsite vehicle delivery and handover

For service customers we can offer:

  • Enhanced Collection and Delivery Services – including a sterilised handover of all vehicles
  • Drop and go – simply drop your keys off and leave us to carry out the repair

We will continue to monitor the situation and make relevant decisions based on the guidance available to ensure the safety of our employees and customers.
