The newest member of the all-electric Mercedes-EQ family is available to order now. The EQE joins the range as the first mid-sized luxury saloon from Mercedes-EQ and promises to offer class leading technology, range and luxury.
Think of the new model as the electric equivalent of the E-Class saloon that we are all familiar with. Externally the new EQE is similar in size to the E-Class, but thanks to a bespoke electric platform it boasts an 18cm longer wheelbase for increased cabin space.
Generous legroom and passenger comfort is guaranteed on both rows with additional light entering the cabin through the standard-fit panoramic glass sunroof. The cabin can be customised with your choice of ambient lighting colours and display themes on the latest-generation MBUX infotainment system. The system is EQ-Optimised for the EQE saloon and makes route planning both simple and convenient, taking into account the current charge level and automatically planning charging stops on routes longer than your range.
Under the cabin is the 90.6 kWh capacity battery which can return up to 394 miles[1] WLTP driving range in UK specification. In the launch model EQE 350+ this is linked up to the rear-mounted electric motor that delivers 292 hp and 565 nm to the road below. When it is time to top up the battery, the EQE saloon is able to rapid charge from 10-80% in just 32 minutes on the public network, or conveniently charge at home in 12 and a half hours on a 7 kW wallbox.
Mercedes me Charge is included for three years which provides convenient access to over 80% of the UK’s public charging network with one account, one contactless card and one monthly bill for your electricity. One year of discounted energy at IONITY rapid charging stations is included as part of your Mercedes me Charge membership.
The EQE is available in four model lines: AMG Line, AMG Line Premium, AMG Line Premium Plus and Exclusive luxury.
The generous standard equipment offering includes: AMG exterior bodystyling, LED High-performance headlights with Highbeam assist, 19” AMG 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels, privacy glass, panoramic glass sunroof, MBUX with 12.3” instrument display and 12.8” central display, heated front seats, ambient lighting, ARTICO sport seats and much more.
AMG Line Premium builds on this with the addition of the Driving Assistance Package, memory seats, KEYLESS-GO with comfort access and 20” AMG 5-spoke alloy wheels.
AMG Line Premium Plus includes 21” AMG multispoke alloy wheels in black, AIRMATIC air suspension, DIGITAL LIGHT adaptive headlights, Driving Assistance Package Plus, Head-up display, heated windscreen, augmented reality navigation and the Burmester surround sound system.
Finally, the Exclusive Luxury equipment line is all about comfort and luxury with a classic style. Exclusive Luxury models feature the Electric Art exterior and interior styling, comfort front seats with heating and ventilation, rear heated seats and a heated multifunction steering wheel.
